DOG WALKING POLICIES
In order to provide the best
service, for you, your pet and others, we have established
the following policies.
Our dog walks are scheduled between
the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. All schedule
requests, changes, questions, or comments are to be made
through the Dallas Dog Walker's office, (214) 526-WOOF(9663)
or by email at DallasDogWalkers@sbcglobal.net.
you are scheduled monthly, we schedule and confirm our
dog walks by Sunday of the next business week. Please
try and make your schedule requests/changes by 6pm Sunday
of the business week. Regular scheduled clients &
their dogs will remain in the same timeslot unless there
is a change. There is no last minute charge if you call
or email us by Sunday evening of that week.
Time of Dog Walks: We
cannot commit to an exact time. We strive to accommodate
your most ideal time however, we ask for a 2-hour window
of time for each dog walk. Our dog walking schedule is
created with the following factors in mind: potty training
puppies, client work schedules, your home location &
to save gas/time for our dog walkers.
LAST MINUTE REQUESTS
We try to be as accommodating as
possible but we cannot guarantee availability if notice
is not given. Our busiest time frame is 11-3pm and priority
goes to those who have scheduled first. Last minute calls
require extra gas, travel time, and we may not have your
key on-hand. Because of the scheduling burden that these
last-minute requests are causing, we will be charging an
additional fee of $5.00 if 24 hour notice is not given.
Payment for dog walking service(s)
can be made daily, weekly or monthly. Services are to be
paid in full by the first day service of the billing cycle
that you choose. We accept all major credit cards, check
or cash. Please set up an account with paypal at www.paypal.com
if you are interested in using a credit card. This is a
secure site. There is a $30 handling charge for checks returned
for any reason. Rates are subject to change WITH NOTICE
to current clients.
Payments can be
received in (3) ways.
Leave a check on the kitchen counter (or other
designated spot) by the first visit.

OUR BACKUP SYSTEM
We make an attempt to cross-train
a backup staff member for emergencies and/or staff vacation
coverage. You will be notified if we use another staff member.
SOCIALIZING DOGS/GROUP DOG WALKS
Primarily, we are a dog walking
service. A lot of pet services will not allow your dogs
to socialize with others due to liability. With permission,
we may socialize your dog(s) as opportunities arise. It
is NOT a guarantee of our service that we socialize your
dog(s). If requested, we may do so when it's convenient,
with extreme caution and staff are asked to use their best
judgement. If your dog has a bite history, we cannot allow
them to socialize due to liability.
Dallas Dog Walkers DOES NOT provide
daily dog walks on designated holidays that fall on a weekday
which include: EASTER, MEMORIAL DAY, THANKSGIVING DAY, CHRISTMAS
DAY AND NEW YEARS DAY. If you need coverage on those, please
check for holiday availability. Holiday fees apply.
of 12 hours notice is required on any changes or cancellations
of scheduled walks. No credit will be given for any walks
cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. All remaining
paid services will be credited and can be used for future
SUPPLIES PROVIDED BY CLIENT
A leash and baggies to dispose of
solid waste are to be supplied by the client. Our service
continues rain or shine. We ask that clients provide a towel
for rain or muddy paws. Any necessary cleaners for accidents
are to be supplied by the client, such as disinfectant spray,
paper towels, cleaners, carpet cleaner in case of an accident.
If you have canceled your trip or
work day (and you are home) because your specific area is
experiencing hazardous conditions, please let us know immediately
to prevent unnecessary travel. There is NO cancellation
fee for acts fo nature and you will receive a credit for
service. Hazardous weather extends our travel time &
we will then prioritize travel to the dogs who do not have
the option to get outside for elimination.
Electrical Storms: Dog
Walks may need to be shortened for safety reasons. We
will use our best judgement. Their walk time will be substituted
with play time inside.
Road Conditions: In
a rare situation, that that roads are insurpassable, we
recommend that you establish an emergency plan with a
neighbor. Travel by Dallas Dog Walker staff will be made
as soon as the roads open.
PLEASE notify Dallas Dog Walkers
if there will be anyone else having access to your home
while we are providing service. The most well-intentioned
people can sometimes leave unlocked doors, open gates, and
sometimes lock us out.
NAME TAGS, SHOTS & FLEA TREATMENTS
Please make sure your dog's name
tags, shots and flea treatments are up to date. Collars
should fitted properly and not easily slip off their necks.
We must have 2 working keys at the
time of the consultation or give the dog walker $2 to make
a copy for the office.
100% of any gratuity goes to your
